escape act is an alternative pop group from Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in April 2006.
We’ve been recording new songs during the last 12 months at Chem19 and Gargleblast Studios. You can hear the some of the results on the player to your right or by clicking here. Join our mailing list to hear about more new songs, exclusive downloads, vlogs, gigs and releases.
Our debut album, ‘Loosely Based On Fiction’ is now available to download free and special edition digipak CD. The album has received much praise from fans and media, and Steve Lamacq recently chose us as his Unsigned band of the week!
We previously released ‘Hot Air’ – our first EP – in April ’07, before heading to Chem19 studios in Glasgow to record our debut album. The first single ‘God Says’ was released on June 23rd 2008 on digital and Limited Edition split 7″ vinyl.
Escape Act is – Chris Heaney, Rich Dale, Ross Neely, Michael Sampson. Former drummer Alan Beattie now takes care of our artwork from his new home in Leicester.
